The International Quiz Circuit consists of the annual World Quizzing Championships, the individual event at the annual International Quizzing Championships or Quiz Olympiad, and the monthly Hot 100 events. You will earn World Quiz Rankings Points at all of these events. The annual events have their own websites, so we concentrate in this section on the Hot 100 that is usually played in the first two weeks of the month.
The Hot 100 is a written paper for individuals. It has 100 general knowledge questions written by setters from all over the world to ensure the sets have a truly international feel.
Can’t join us for the proctored Hot 100 events? No problem! You can play along for fun (without the quiz rankings points) from the day after the event (usually the second Sunday of the month).
This is a written paper consisting of 100 general knowledge questions, set by a writer from a different country each month so they have an international flavour.
Every Hot 100 event attracts International Quiz Rankings points based on your finishing position, the number of players, and the ranks of the players taking part.
You have 45 minutes to play, then you swap papers for marking. All questions are worth one point and all questions count towards your final score.
There are three ways to play in our circuit quizzes: at a live venue, in a Zoom room, or for fun as an unproctored player. And, you can always buy past question sets from our store whenever you like.

The organisers want everyone to enjoy playing in fair competitions and so all players are expected to abide by the general rules, competition rules, to the Code of Conduct too, and to play within the spirit of the competition.
Anyone can. With the exception of “Quizzing 101”, which is only available to <link to ‘Quiz Rankings page’> Novice and Sage players, our events are open events with no qualification process. Everyone is welcome!
Not at all. Even the greatest names in quiz started somewhere. You’ll find the quiz community friendly and supportive. Generally, people are concerned only with their scores and those of their ‘deadliest rivals’😉. And, you don’t have to enter your score if you don’t want to.
